Who’s behind Thenacares

Before she ran a registry, she did the overnights.

Cassandre Jean-Louis spent 25 years as a caregiver, providing care in other people’s homes. She has done the 3 a.m. bathroom trips, the transfers, the sundowning, and the mornings after a night when nobody slept. She knows what this work asks of a person because she did it.

She also knows that when one person needs care, the responsibility reaches across an entire family. There may be a daughter who has not slept through the night, a spouse who has postponed travel, or family members rotating weekends around their own jobs and households.

That experience shapes the standard she screens for today. Cassandre looks for caregivers she would have wanted working alongside her on a difficult night, then gives families the opportunity to meet and choose the person they feel comfortable inviting into their home.

You can love someone deeply and still need help carrying the care.

Thenacares is named for Cassandre’s grandmother, Thenaise.

Boutique & Concierge Private Duty Home Care

When Luxury Meets Home Care, It’s Thenacares.

Cassandre describes her vision as Haut de Gamme, meaning high-end or upscale. It means personal attention, thoughtful caregivers, respect for family routines, and a standard of care that feels like family.

Real family experiences

What families say about the caregivers they chose

Reviews shared by families Thenacares has worked with.

S.R.

“This is a fabulous home health service. I almost hate to refer to them as a service because it didn’t feel like ‘a service.’ Cassandra and Beatrice connected and showed genuine care towards my husband (and me) right away.”

The attention they gave to my husband was amazing. They pampered him while giving him the care he needed and made him feel like a "king for a day." He needed to feel like that after what he has been through - did wonders for him.

britt cvaldesuso

“My aunt could not be more happy with her care. She says they don't just help with her daily tasks, but personal. Each girl have great personalities and make everyday special....cook meals, complete puzzles, ensure health care needs are met, etc.”

Robert Nebb

“Cassandra and her team of nurses and homecare professionals make it possible for my (elderly) parents to continue to live at home together. They are a Godsend to our family”

Cheryl

“I've known Cassandra for about 6 years now. She was taking care of my friends Mom. She is a very loyal, dependable, caring and loving person. Always treated mom with dignity and respect!! She also is very professional. I would recommend her to anyone who needs home health care. Thank you for all you do and have done.”

What happens next

From your first answer to a more restful night

We call you within one business day

A care coordinator, not a call center. They will ask what a hard night or demanding day actually looks like and listen more than they talk. If Thenacares is not the right fit, they will tell you.

We visit and learn the routine

We learn the sleep patterns, medications, mobility needs, personal preferences, what causes distress, and what brings comfort, so you do not have to explain everything twice.

You meet and choose the caregiver

We shortlist caregivers from our registry who fit your schedule and support needs, subject to availability. You interview them at home. Nothing is scheduled until you say yes.

Begin with a night at home

We suggest staying home for the first overnight arrangement. You rest while the caregiver supports your loved one, so you can see how everything goes before planning a night away.

No cost until you have chosen a caregiver. No obligation at any point.

A few common questions

Before you get started

Quick answers to what families usually want to know first.

About the care

What is respite care?

Respite care provides temporary support for someone who needs assistance at home, giving the family member who normally provides that care time to rest, work, travel, or manage other responsibilities.

Can care be arranged overnight or on weekends?

Yes. Thenacares focuses on overnight, weekend, and extended arrangements. Availability depends on the requested schedule, location, care needs, and available caregivers.

How quickly can care begin?

Timing depends on your location, schedule, care needs, and caregiver availability. We will call you within one business day to learn more about your situation and explain the next steps. If your need is urgent, please tell us when completing the form.

About the caregivers

Are the caregivers Thenacares employees?

No. Thenacares is a licensed Florida nurse registry. The caregivers referred through the registry are not Thenacares employees. Before anything begins, we will explain how the registry relationship works and provide the applicable terms in writing.

Will it be the same caregiver each time?

Continuity is the goal, but it cannot be guaranteed. Caregivers are independent professionals, and illness or scheduling changes can occur. We help you choose a preferred caregiver and can discuss backup options in case that person becomes unavailable.

What if the caregiver does not feel like the right fit?

Tell us. Personal fit matters when someone is providing care in your home, especially overnight. We can discuss what is not working and help identify other caregivers for you to consider, subject to availability.

My parent does not want a stranger in the house. What should I do?

This is a common concern. Involving your parent in the interview can help them retain a sense of control and become comfortable with the person being considered. You choose whether to move forward after meeting the caregiver.

Service area and next steps

Which areas does Thenacares serve?

Thenacares serves families in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties. You can live elsewhere and arrange care for a loved one who lives within the service area.

Does completing the form commit me to care services?

No. Sharing your information simply helps us understand your situation before we call. It does not commit you to services, guarantee caregiver availability, or establish a final schedule or price.
